Cottage Door Press to Collaborate with Smithsonian

Smithsonian Board Books for 0–5 Year-Olds Coming in Fall 2017

BARRINGTON, IL (February 17, 2017) — Cottage Door Press announced today that it has entered into a multiyear publishing agreement with Smithsonian to develop board books for children age 0–5. The new titles will feature engaging, educational content that reflects the integrity of the Smithsonian. The four titles included in the initial launch will incorporate interactive elements with topics such as natural habitats and outer space, and will be available in the fall of 2017.

“Given its expansive collection of educational resources and its significance to American history and culture, we believe that our partnership with Smithsonian will bring world-class content to the littlest readers,” says Richard Maddrell, President and Founder of Cottage Door Press.

Beyond the initial launch, expect many more titles featuring high-quality content, interactive elements, and a continued focus on developing the early literacy skills that are essential for pre-readers.
